Willow-Speak
You're truly blessed if somebody believes in you
Who'll take a slap in the mouth to protect the feather in your song.
who'll give up a hand so you can etch warm hearts in the sand.
who'll cover your ears, when they toss burning tongues your way,
then whisper the translation in willow-speak.
You're truly blessed if somebody faces the machine
to buffer your dreams from the landslide
called doubt-indifference -pain.
Truly, you're blessed when love-lovingly
wipes the mud from your calloused snout
as you root truffles of truth from the rubble of living.
