Will You Remind Me

When I start to forget When minutes merge into seconds When hours seem to stand still When I can no longer remember Will you be my memory? Will you make reminders for me? Will you set alarms so I know when? Will you be there to whisper what I desperately search for in my mind but cannot grasp? Will you remind me all, When I start to forget? When I lose things and I don't remember how When I leave things but don't remember where When I mean to say something and I have forgotten what When I have to choose but cannot for I don't know which Will you remind me? Days fade into hours I have lost all count of time It has become blurry and misty I can't make sense of things I used to know Memories are slipping away Your face is but a silhouette in my mind I can only make out the images of you You are like a shade, a shadow I see you are there but I don't know you I can't remember you And if I forget you What sense is it then of this existence? When I can no longer remember my name When I have forgotten who I am How do I continue to exist?
