Will I Be
What will I be, to your Dorothy?
Will I be your Lion?
So afraid of my past,
that my die's forever cast,
searching for the courage
that will change me at last?
Will I be your Tin Man?
Frozen in an old place,
so I’m unable to face,
a future of feelings
that will make my heart race?
Will I be your Scarecrow?
Strung up high at his post
haunted by doubts and not ghosts,
watching others live life
doing what I truly miss most?
Will I be the Wizard?
All hot air and tricks,
with no real magical picks,
hoping that the wind
won't blow out the balloon's wick?
Or.....
Will I be a new man?
Inspired by what You see,
no fears... only courage
no qualms....only feelings
no doubts...only living?
Tell me, pray, tell me
sweet and wise Dorothy...
What will I be, what will I be?
