Wildflower
As you survey the wonders you have wrought:
the noble mountains and sunlit forests-
the pure streams and the frigid lakes-
As you tour the magnificence of your creation-
I hope that
when you turn to look at me
you see a wildflower pleasing to you
a tiny ornament of beauty
insignificant - except to bring a moment of joy to your heart.
offering gratitude for its humble existence.
Grant me grace
that you may not find me
a noxious weed
a stain upon reality
a cause for disgust and sadness
For either fate may yet come of me
and I am weaker than I ought to be.
But you are enough. More than enough. Help me choose you, always.
