Wilderness
suspended o’er rocks
on knots tied by unknown hands
the hammock holds fast
drifting off to sleep
safe to swing above water
canoe anchored close
night falls so quickly
quiet paddle strokes are heard
across the river
traveling to camp
reflections of solitude
wilderness journey
