WILD HEARTS
She said, “Show me a world that’s different from mine!”
Tranquility’s lost on the wildest of hearts
Too tame and mundane for a diamond to shine
There’s not enough love here, in a cold work of art.
Her story worth telling, a quill dipped in blood
Bright embers of love once burning so bold
Life couldn’t be clearer as you peer through the mud
Lost on the wind, lain scattered and cold
Chorus
The odour of wickedness
Cradles the shadows
Enrapturedly sinful, you thwart the divine
For Angels
Though heavenly creatures of virtue
Too long in the shadows
Will cease for to shine!
Drowning in ecstasy, ‘snow’ on the table
In the company of Wolves, is where she deigned to be
The world at her feet, her pick of the stables
Spellbound and helpless, adrift on the sea
What is it you’re thinking, when reading my thoughts
Your modesty hidden as your mind feels the rush
Is it love, lust or passion, or a blend of all three
A mix of the Devil, fuelling youths crush
Chorus x1
Her Wild Heart laid open to the thrill of the chase
Immune to the dangers, reckless and blind
Her demons denied by her Angelic face
Chasing that high, always one step behind
Grey-Green eyes laughing, brimming with life
Passion comes easy where beauty resides
As white horses dance on the turn of the tide
Flirting with danger like a double-edged knife
Chorus x2 to fade!
