Wild Child

There's a wild child inside of me
Living in my heart that's free
One I won't every let go of
One I don't want to let go of.

I wish for you to never leave
I never want to lose her
Stay with me forever.

I feed off of you
So you must stay
I can not lose you
I fear if I ever do lose you

If you would ever leave me
I know for sure I will become old
I should never want that to happen.

For I know if I ever lose you
If you should ever want to leave me
Then I would surely die inside
And become withered and old.

You are the spark that keeps me alive!

Yes, the inner voice--the essence of who we are should be with us always. How nice to give a little shout of appreciation to that inner person who misbehaves at times.

I wouldn't call it light poetry for it seems deep and touching to me. Beautifully written!
