Wild Autumn

wild autumn

hot ten day heat wave
 hydrangeas wilt in the shade ~
  steamy heat at night

mistrals fan embers
 rises up to spread white fire ~
  dry grasslands shutter

up from churning seas
 hurricane force rain floods plains ~
  cactus bloom too soon

9-14-22
Over the past two weeks we have had a heat wave, seen wildfires start and had Hurricane Kay bring flooding.

And, we are predicted to get rain this weekend - highly unusual for September! I guess I'm going to have to add another haiku as the wild weather continues! That in itself is weird as our rainy season doesn't really start until November! I think I'm going to have to write an additional haiku for the string! The wildness continues!
