Wife of My Youth

Like a new thirst in the desert My heart was soaked in thoughts and desires Dominating was the longing to be held Held in ecstasy, fondled in the embrace of another Despite several invasions, tramplings and happenings Faith smiled and there came the presence of a silver-line A beauty I can call mine A sprout of rose to lace my horrors Smiles with no word said Moments of joy saturated with affections Days of fantancies when the little one in me tickled in happiness Playing on the strings of lightening, singing in the rain A time when stars fondled my mind And my heart laid on the bed of cares No one could be this to me No other, except my wife.
