Widow Christmas - Get Low

Began in September
(Watching it grow)

A smoldering ember
(Black-orange glow)

October, November
(Can’t let them know)

Half past thru December
(Hope it won’t show)

Don’t think I remember
(Feeling so low)

oh my!! this was a really interesting way to SHOW the progression of LOW. Don't know your placement in the contest, but I'd have scored one like this very high, Tim!!

Love the concise story with gradual progression, from the onset to final low. Glad that there was acknowledgement in the end after initial denial. A class of its own in economy of words. Congrats, Tim!
