Why's It Only Raining Inside?

I'm doin' the dishes
look out the window there
outside kids are playing
normally I wouldn't care
But outside the sun does shine
and there are smiles and lots of fun
Yet in here I seem to whine
'cause I don't have no sun...

Seems an odd thing, indeed,
has happened,
One I had never seen before,
'cause inside here it's raining...
just inside my door!

I guess too many things wrong
about my life just now
I guess I'm not so very strong
I wonder of other's joy.....how?

I don't have an indoors umbrella,
Anyway, it'd bring me bad luck,
I've got enough of that...
This beaten down old fellow
Is wishin' he was a duck.
