Why Were the Old Days Better Than These
Do not say, “Why were the old days better than these?” For it is not wise to ask such questions.
Ecclesiastes 7:10
WHY WERE THE OLD DAYS BETTER THAN THESE
Thank you God for the warmth in this cup of coffee.
Like mittens on my hands, a loving touch to my face.
I wrap my fingers around the panoramic scene of snow.
Red, white and green trees firmly planted. Snowflake
designs and its song implied, “Baby it’s cold outside.”
My purple sweatshirt and blue plaid socks harmonise.
The time of year we look for snow to fall on shoulders,
my own, but my hair’s dyed - many a Winter, fools.
I stay in shape the best I can - guarded, punching life.
Thank you God for wisdom, deep and coffee strong.
