Why Should I Know Multiplication

When will I need Multiplication? Why waste my day on it? When will I need This long division? Why are we doing this? I do not need Spelling or writing That’s your job, isn’t it?

It's so strange but, at some point, I find myself needing these skills and at the most bizarre times. They call to me a lot when I'm simply experimenting or creating. We think we'll never need them but, they always pop up when least expected. Good one.

The children are convinced we are wasting their time. They get angry if they have to memorize and refuse. They do have GOOGLE after all.

I understand the need for most of these things now... except long division, I still don't need that! ;P hahahaha
