Why Now

Together years of joint hopes we swallowed
When we seem to drown, each other we lifted
But why now?

With plain promises my mind you tortured
In the hot soup of destruction my heart you dipped
But why now?

Gold ring glittering on my finger
Means nothing only to provoke love hunger
Why not then?

Why did you had to coat hurting stone with diamond
To mercilessly tear my heart into painful pieces
But why not then?

In my mind a jungle of questions
In my heart they seem of obvious answers
Not love as you called it, but lust electroplated with pretency
