Why Must You

Why must you put me on this tight rope/
Why must you stay at my throat/
Why must you bring me all this bad news/
Why must you think I’m coming forward as a fluke/

Why must you take my son away/
Why must you run away/
Why must you bring me all this hurt/
Why must you treat me like dirt/

Why must you make it like I slit your throat/
One thing you got to realize I was there to help you maintain and cope/
So why, why, why must you stay at my throat.
