Why Is It So Easy For Me To Cry

I go to a wedding and shed a tear
I cry when children’s eyes are full of fear
And when the Star Spangled Banner is sung
Or when a funeral church bell is rung.

Why is it so easy for me to cry
As others look at me, and just stand by?
I’m happy, and tough, and try to stand tall
And most of the time, I’ll control it all.

But there is that soft spot that lies within
I try to be strong, not let the tears begin
But I don’t think I would change a thing
For a soul without tears cannot be caring.

I can’t be afraid to let the tears cascade
I must realize, that’s just how I am made.
