I dream Not because I need The object of desire I dream Because the dream itself Makes today more livable

I see by the comments you may have been referring to 'daydreaming'; but you are right about our real dreams. Research has shown that our 'crazy' dreams help keep us sane--literally! Nicely done, John.

Love this, John. To dream the impossible dream is not so impossible if you really strive for it.

That is an interesting reason you have for dreams. Do you mean actual sleeping dreams or just "wishing" for things? At night I dream because it's so dang fun. LIke watching a movie!! My dreams are in color and often there is something thrilling going on (after I try writing it down later I realize how ridiculous the plot was!!)

It could go either way... how's that for an enigmatic answer? I like dreaming, but I wish I had your ability to dream at will. Thanks for the fun comment, Andrea! For the record, I meant dream in the aspiration sense, as in dreaming about being a great chess player or saxophone legend and working towards accomplishing that aspiration.

Warrior, have you ever seen the movie Inception? The line between dream and consciousness can be very thin! Thanks for the visit; may your 2020 be blessed and productive! ~ J
