Why Don'T Cats Like Bananas

Oh, why don't cats like bananas,
Life would be so much simpler if we could get our cat to eat bananas.

She would not eat them on toast,
She would not touch them hidden in a roast.
We even stuffed some in a rat,
But she was having none of that.

Oh why don't cats eat bananas,
When there are so many bananas,
At ridiculously low prices that undercut,
The cheapest meat cut.

Any ideas would be appreciated,
As on bananas we are fixated,
We have them on toast,
Though we don't like to boast,
We eat them raw,
And in the raw,
Now we are having trouble fitting through the door,
And avoiding banana skins on the the floor.

A trick that might be germane: Rebranding them as plantains. Then slyly explain That’s how lions grow manes; She’ll not turn her nose up again!

Very Good Jeff. When I was a kid bananas were not plentiful here but but our cats got scraps and lots of rats and the occasional rabbit for the fastest cats. One cat we had caught a wild duck once. Milk was cheap so they got occasional bowls of milk. Now cats get better fed than some children. The rats are happy about that. Thanks for reading David in NZ
