Why Do We Fail To Think

Id throw my life away,
Id run from the fame, and let go of the fortune,
if the world finally decided to stop all its commotion,
all these wars so infantile. the talk of blowing up another with a nuclear missile.
is this really what its come down to?
a chance at life, or death depending on who takes the first step?
we see our men die behind enemy lines, we watch our loved ones fall to their knees
a tear for a lost loved, a son, a daughter,
what if it was you? would you feel the same?
being shipped off in a body bag, given to your family with a flag and a pair of tags?
Id run away from all of this is only i could,
because once you realize its your best friend
the world is empty. You realize its a cold dark place,
never so tranquil, and never at ease,
we fight for what we cant have, and we are willing to spill blood,
Lose ourselves and our loved ones,
but we never think of the consequences till
The End.
