Why Do We Exist?
Remove me from the living beings
Or them from me. What is my relevance?
Without them, my existence has no meaning
So why is it that there is existence, Why do we exist?
Our primal instinct to survive is nothing without the survival of all.
What is our purpose of human reasoning?
The only living being equipped with the power to reason,
But for what and why? What is our relativity?
Is our life a defining moment? A split second,
In some greater inconceivable scheme?
I live perfunctory according to some master plan
Going around in unforeseeable circles, yet following the same path
From birth to death knowingly, yet self-deniably.
My existence, my actions only having consequence to me,
Yet, in some minute way I add to the existence of humanity
Am I suicidal from the revelation? No just implanted in this life
And propelled by my childhood instinctive reasoning WHY?
I just don’t ask it aloud anymore! I contemplate,
I sit and wonder why? What is life all about? Why do we exist?
