Why Do We Do This?

counting the miles
that seem to take forever
why do we do this?

thousands of people
different creed, colour and race
gather together
they run
in unison
over cobbles
over stones

the diferent generations
grandpa,mother and child
unite as one
as they run for the charity
that helped her son
over cobbles
over stones

the different social classes
upper,middle and lower
join a group
pushing for the same thing
a charity
over cobbles
over stones

why do we do this?

We do this because people have been duped into think this is all that exists, if we are kept confused and divided, we are so much easier to control. nice poem, its good to make people think. peace and love fellow human

Because we all need to realize we all belong in the human family. When we all do, the world will change 180 degrees. A very nice poem. Thanks for sharing. Caroline.
