He missed her so Why did she go? She thought about him night and day For it had been a million years At least it felt that way in tears But still she loved him anyway For it had been a million years Since they first met that Saturday Upon the garden entranceway At least it felt that way in tears He missed her so For it had been a million years Since he had seen her slip away At least it felt that way in tears Why did she go? Congratulations on your win! Your poem reminds me of Richard Dreyfus in the movie Always, a romantic fantasy, longing for someone from the other side of the grave. But in your poem she missed him, after she "slipped away."
