Why Did I Crush Her Pride and Dignity

Chances galore came and went in quick succession when hubris took me over, smashing her pride to smithereens despite heartfelt pleas on her bended knees. Still, I took her love for granted, behaving as though I held all the trump cards and her dignity counted for nothing. I wish I could roll back the hands of time. Alas! She won't pick up my calls or stand the sound of my name... I brushed her pleas aside as she poured rivers of tears broken, foresaken.

Lyric Man, imagination roams free, feeding my craft, stretching and extending its elasticity and plasticity in fruitful directions. I create poems from snippets I've seen, heard of and in some cases experienced. Imagination remains my bottomless inspiration well. Thanx a zillion, Lyric Man.
