Why Can'T I Write a Poem

Why can't I write a poem
    'bout every shade of color
   kaleidoscope sunsets and brilliant blooms
Why's my imagery so much duller ...

  Why can't I write a poem
    'bout steamy love affairs
  where breathless paramours explore
    locales no eagle dares ...

  Why can't I write a poem
    in metric symmetry
Well, I know why ~ If I did that
    I'd lose my identity

Glad I did not have to answer that for you! I wouldn't change a thing about you! Your uniqueness adds to the pot!! And your brand of poetry is great! Happy Saturday !!

Thanks for the lift there, Mike. I can barely change my socks anymore, let alone my poetry. ~ Spare Tire(s)

We would not want you to lose your identity. I think you could do it though with a stamp of approval from everyone. Thanks for sharing this one and for dropping by my page. Sara

You're not alone Gershon, I leave all the mushy stuff to the romantic poets on here, but each to their own. Tom

Good to see your avatar pop up, Tom. I realize that my site hours have been reduced to 24/7, lol, but I was still hoping that you'd show up soon. lol. ~ Hope and Faith, Gershon
