Why Can'T I Believe In Me

They say that I'm not the best there is
They say I will never make it through
They judge me before I even get to try
And I wonder, will I I ever get to rise

The dug a grave for me way before my death
I'm pressed down and I can't even breath
The sun doesn't shine on those pressed under the earth
I don't exist to them, I'm as good as gone...

They have said this and will say that
They have done this and will do that
I know what matters is what's within
So why can't I believe in me?

Welcome to poetry soup, Padiso. Sometimes when the world is not for us, all we can do is encourage our self, because our life is ours to cherish.
