why are you here

I had heard that the prophetess was pretty, but she was gorgeous
Her red hair is unusual; I have rarely seen such a chestnut glow.
Her eyes were more than one color, I cannot give you a name for them.
She turned those unique eyes on me.
I felt like a frightened three-years-old with wet pants.

A slow smile came across her lips, I looked away, feeling strange.
Are you here for a fortune,
or do you want me to tell you about your past lives?
Her voice was hypnotic; she had me in her cocoon, I felt mesmerized.
I do not know, I admitted, feeling intimidated.

I am not here to frighten you, she told me.
Why have you come?
To see how gorgeous you are, I admitted.
She gave me a real smile this time.
Letting me feel comfortable.
