Why Are We Here

WHY ARE WE HERE Can we ever learn from our past lives It’s somewhat like a spiritual evolution But hidden, however hard one strives It sometimes leads to much confusion An answer from a Buddhist Priest I met His patient smile was so easy to detect The course of one’s life is never preset When I asked him if we could connect Why would one want to, he replied And that gave me pause for thought However hard we may have tried Our next identities cannot be bought The reason each of us are here it seems Is to try our hardest to fulfil our dreams
