Why
I have been there with you through the pain
I beckoned to you often
Whispering your name
I offered you solace
My fiery hand of vengeance
My unbreakable promise
You found comfort in your sorrows
You rejected the peace and embraced the hate
You habitually dreaded your tomorrows
Drowning in your weakness, wallowing in your shame
You are a queen, a goddess, a rare flower
When I look at you I see the sun
You are hope, you are love...you are my daughter
Equality to my son
In your state of neglect
And your destitute ways
You refer to yourself as a fatherless child
Why won't you notice me?
Why do you run from me?
Why do you reject me?
Why can't you see me?
I've been with you all the while.
I've wiped your tears
Often as you cried
I gave you strength
When you were weekend and desire to die
I have taken the bad and replaced it with good
You have turned away my giftS
You still feel you can’t go on, but I know you could
You call upon your imagination
For love that is not real
The false acceptance has its limitations
It’s an illusion
A wake-able dream
The answer is right here
It's within me
I've been right here my word is the truth
I ache for the answer
Why don't you let me love you???
