Why?
For My Daughter,Jenna. WHY?
To what can I compare you,or should I even dare
For all the times you hurt me so,and told me that you care,
I should'nt be so foolish,and believe the things you say
I should by now,just realise,I'm sure you were born that way.
You hurt me bad,you really do,I wish that you could see
The way I feel, about the way,you treat and talk to me.
You say you'll always be there,you'll never leave my side
I'm only just beginning to,acknowledge,just how much you lie,
I wanted to believe you,and trust you even at that
But life,with you,it seem's sometimes, is just like mortal combat.
You said you'd never hit me,and I believed that too
How cruel,you are,you really are,I can't believe it's true.
It was hard to say goodbye to you,believe that if you want
Cause I'm at that point,of not really caring,if you do or don't.
So leave me alone now,and go on your way,I really need this now,
It's time to start my life again,someway,someday,somehyow.
