why did that happen
to us…

neighbor
husband of my best friend
why
did we let it happen?

I can only speak for myself
you have your owns demons
and reasons

I was lonely
not alone but lonely
he was studying
hard… after work
I was lonely

your home was a comfort
of coffee and chats
a walk of 2 minutes
away to warm acceptance
and company
both of you…
accepted my need

then… it was the eyes
those eyes across a table
magnet soul pupils
locked…. too long for
comfort… you
offered to walk me home

you stopped me with your touch
on my shoulder
reluctantly… I looked and
focused in on the seduction
of your searching soul eyes

we kissed…
you said: “You know we want this”
I was easy prey

but you loved me
