Why

Why is the world bleeding
Why are the children screaming
Why are the crows singing
Why are we no longer dreaming
Why are the nations tempers seething
Why are the rich feeding
                                                        while the poor are starving?

Why do we murder those we claim are heathen
Why is standing what you believe in treason
Why do the maggots keep eating
when the corpses are done decomposing?

Why do we say we are winning
when the reality is that we are losing?

Why am I asking these questions?

Why do I have to keep on asking?

I'll tell you why

It's because no one thinks that they're worth answering.

Brilliant write. That word will be etched on my tombstone. My late wife used to tell me that sometimes there aren't answers as the people responsible are not operating on a conscious level well beyond rational or egalitarian reasoning. Kind regards, Ian

All power to you, if enough of us keep asking why maybe someone will be forced to give answers or at least start to think. Never stop asking why please. Kind regards, Ian

Thanks Ian, I was always asking why in school, can imagine my popularity :) but it sounds as if your wife was a wise woman, though I'm still young and will try and fight the ignorance in the world!
