Why

Why can't you feel
            the way i feel
the way i blend
            the way congeal.



Why can't you break 
       the way i break
And smile when you see
       like when i see your face



Why can't you be
       the air i breathe in
the shelter i crave
       under your skin.


Why can't you longer
       Your ephemeral love
to drench my heart
       draw the fire of.


Why can't you be  
          the crutch of my cripple
the calm of my conscience
           my booze, my tipple
           

Why can't you be the peace 
                        that i have found
When all the voices 
                        talk around.
