Why
Why say words only to reveal them as lies?
Cover me in your honey,
So I couldn't see you were a bee
Why build me up just to shatter me like a glass castle?
Intricately designing my self esteem,
Then launching insecurities into the foundation
Why trade our secrets, just to become strangers again?
Late night words, traded for comfort,
But forgotten with heartbreak
You make the motions of life, careful to hide the missing pieces of you
Carefully tucked away in the heart of a stranger you will never know again
