Who's That With You?
It’s with you right now.
In the room with you.
Watching everything you do.
Everything you say.
Shhhhhhh
Do you think you can hide from it?
Pretend it’s not there, hiding in the dark -
Look around and you’ll see nothing,
But it knows you are watching..
Wake up fool!
It speaks to you now -
Listen very, very closely
It speaks in whispers
Shhhhhhh
Be so very silent and still
It knows what you think of this poem,
This writer
Your fear.
It knows that secret you’ve been hiding.
It knows the whole thing.
It was with you.
It will reveal you the first chance it gets.
Even now, it knows that you are looking for it.
In fact, It wants you to find it.
Don’t be scared.
Once you uncover it,
You’re free of it.
Shhhhhhh
Listen… can you hear it?
