Of course there is a silver lining to every cloud.

The day you stop seeing that old woman in your mirror might not be one of your better days because that will mean you've either died or gone blind.

There's no sense fighting a battle you can't win.

I once knew a woman who lied about her age until she was old enough to draw Social Security.

It didn't do anything for her looks and just made her look foolish to those who knew her.

Nobody stays 39yrs. old for seven years or more.

Accept it and grow old graciously. It makes you a better, happier person and lets your inner beauty which never diminishes shine through.

No matter what I do, No matter what I say, That old woman in my mirror, Just won't go away. I woke up one morning, So bright and sunny, And there she was, With two chins and a tummy. The eyes that once, Were so large and bright, Now look old and tired, And near sunken from sight. The high cheeks that once, Held the rose of good health, The bosum, once full, Both have also been felled. Victims it seems, To the curse of old age. What was once budding beauty, Is now wizened and sage. Now I look in the mirror, And think, "Tell me pray, Who is that old woman, Who won't go away?"

Any Baby Boomer feels like this Judy. I have never been fond of mirrors. I have noticed that every 7 years I take a leap into looking older. That's life! I enjoyed your poem and could identify with it too! Good one! : o
