Who's Got Your Back

The sun says it's time for work.
Time to put on your reality face.
Hide your play face as best you can.
This is the difficult part.
The moon says it's O.K. to close your eyes.
I'll keep watch- I've got your back.
Rest easy -dream big- dear.
Don't wait for death, don't run from it either.
At the end, it'll be there for sure.
To jump your back and eat your last remaining star.

I like it that you have their back, and your metaphors are wonderful. Sweet poem.
