Whoosh

Joanna Davis

The whoosh of time it flies

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~so fast
From the dawn of our birth,
To the dusk of our past.
If the legacy is filled
with the laughter of child-like dreams,
it explodes with joy
and bursts at the seams
The residue will fly
right out into space
Then when you’re older
hit you right in the face
Your smile will be big
your eyes will be wide
Then~~~~~~~~~~ whoosh
you’re right back
To when you were a child.
A warm welcome to PoetrySoup I offer to you Jo. I wish for you the best in your writing endeavors whatever they may be. May you find inspiration by reading some of the poetry written here by other poets. Read and comment on their's and they will return in kind. May the sun shine on you that you might find great joy in your life. Love and blessing always, Carol
