Whole Soul
. for public domain
Even in our fading years
Her smiles are often strewn
with all the loveliness
from a prize winning orchid
in its best and brightest bloom,
and Her eyes glow much brighter
than any December's moon,
and when She speaks, songbirds stop
and listen from nearby bows.
Perched in silence, they swoon.
As my sweet Cielle holds me near,
contentment fills this one soul.
Troubles cease, pain subsides,
fulfillment finds this ending:
a wanting spirit made whole.
