Balassi stanza In other worlds out there, kids hide and say a prayer. Mom needs the mornings to snooze. This child gets up alone, her hunger to postpone; Dad's only care is his booze. She must get to the bus without making a fuss; there's no sense gettin' a bruise. 8

Just this week I listened to an hour long radio program of interviews of kids in Alateen. The situation is widespread and sad, and the resourcefulness and spirits of the kids are more than amazing. Prevalent problem, thanks, Reason, for the well writ Balassi on the topic, and congrats. Namaste~N
