Whoarewe
I came looking for anger
And I found it
I sought fear
And it found me
Sometimes our silence is as loud as our shouts
Sometimes our actions reflect our doubts
To reward death with more death
Is like adding gas to fire
To reward compassion with love
Is like adding a branch to the spire
I came looking for revenge
And I found no justice
I sought retribution
But punishment found me
To be blind to all action, I mock my sight
To be courageous in the dark, I will win the fight
Can I, can we, continue to hate
Seeking only struggle to this endless debate
Can I, can we, find the lone olive on a barren tree
Or shall we all parish because we sought only decree?
