Who Will Feed First

Who will feed first I wonder
As vultures fly in, surrounding the carcass.
I begin to count them. 45, 46, 47…..92.
I lose count at 93, but do not feel like starting over.

The biggest birds feed first
Because they had the strength to rip the animal open.
It was something I could no longer bear to watch.
So much for the Discovery Channel.
