Who We Were

Memories of who we were haunt my soul A
Was it so long ago or yesterday B
That I so needed you to make me whole A
Can you recall the reason we parted C
It was youth that killed what we had started C
So many lonely years along the way B
Your sweet love is what I should have guarded C
Instead I let foolish pride take its toll A
