Who Was This Man
I met this man just the other day
He sat so lonely that I just couldn't turn away
We sat down and talked a bit
We talked on and on, like we just couldn't quit
Then came the moment when I wondered to myself
Who was this man telling me about myself
He read me from the outside in
Called out all of my sins
He knew how deeply sorry I felt about them down inside
And all the feelings I tend to hide
He told me to take a walk with him
I was a bit skeptical because I didn't know him
He grabbed my hand and said come on
Right then was when all my fears were gone
We walked and talked for a long time, all the while I stumbled and stumbled
through my mind
But for some reason, his name, I could not find
Finally, he said that it was time for him to go
I didn't want him to, for his name, I did not know
So I asked him what was his name
It was only fair that I know because he knew my name
He said that he was no ordinary man
That I knew when he touched my hand
I told him everything except his name was talked about amongst us
Then he said,"I am Jesus"
