Who Shall Save This World
Who Shall Save This World?
Who shall save this weary world?
Who shall silence the drums of war
and teach the nations the language of peace?
Who shall wash corruption from the hearts of men
and heal the wounds no medicine can reach?
Who shall redeem a civilization
that has forgotten the value of a soul?
These questions echo through every nation,
rising from palaces and prisons,
from city streets and lonely villages.
Greed has hardened many hearts.
Hands once created to lift the fallen
now cling tightly to their own treasures,
while the poor are forgotten,
the hungry are overlooked,
and the broken are left to weep alone.
Yet, is there not hope?
Hope that those who sleep beneath the stars
will one day awaken beneath a roof?
Hope that empty bowls will overflow with bread?
Hope that the weak will find new strength,
the disabled will stand with confidence,
the deaf will hear the morning chorus of birds,
and the crippled will outrun the wind?
Yes—there is hope.
Beyond the darkness shines redemption.
Beyond every tear waits a promise.
Beyond every grave stands eternal life.
There is only One
who can bring lasting peace to this world.
The kingdoms of men will rise and fall,
but His Kingdom shall never be shaken.
Under His reign, hatred shall bow to love,
justice shall embrace mercy,
and righteousness shall cover the earth.
Therefore, brothers and sisters,
let us place our hope not in princes,
nor in wealth, nor in the wisdom of men,
but in Christ alone.
For my hope is in Jesus—
the Prince of Peace,
the King of Kings,
the Lord of Lords,
the Saviour of the world.
