Who Knows

i asked you whether i was worthy of your love
you looked at me with eyes i wished i had the talent to decipher
those same eyes staring at me all these years
for always a solid 5 seconds no more

you asked me what was wrong
i’m just curious i answered
you smiled and said
who knows?
