Who Is the Bloody Fool

You came into my life before I was born. You carried me with love at least for one night and one morn. You taught me how to be. You taught me how to see. You taught me how to lie. You taught me how to steal. You taught me how to cry. You taught me how to feel. When love was needed the well seemed pretty dry. When guidance sought you made me want to die. You taught me the game of life. Double standards of honour and truth were lies. And now you don’t like what you see? The real failure of life before you - you see as me. You taught me one thing no teacher could read. You taught one thing so well indeed. It lives within every fibre and nerve in me. You taught me how to be something I don’t want to be. That makes me do things I don’t want to do. You taught me how to be you. Who’s the bloody fool?
