who is He

Who is he, a sonnet

Where I live, few people recognize his name
Those who think he is eccentric rich
A person who wants to fly to Mars
When I mention his name, saying he wrote
About the future, I get a blank stare
I have to jog memories about his eventual
Travel to Mars. Oh, him! They also think I'm
a berk for not talking about the weather
I, me, worrying about the rather sharp turn
to the right in his writing, how can that
Combine with freedom of speech?
Or is it, never mind, the people's opinion
