Who Is God

Deep are the minds that enquire
Of the reality of His being
And in their thought always dwell
The question of His person

They assign their soul its daily duty
Giving their heart its fill of work
To penetrate the abode
Of the Divine One

Have they found His path in a god
Which seems to know nothing about itself?
Is He hiding in the ideas of men
That He should be equalled with Plato?

Who has conferred on the ocean
Its very uncommon strength?
Who is he behind our intelligence
Who is God?
