Who Is a Poet
It is - "Poetry"
Nickname - "Poetree"
But who is a poet
Is he a designer woven golden
words
I have held lies -
lies that serves as food for
the soul
While my mind triggers on
different verses
Is he a fisherman with a hook
and a bail
They say 'Poets are colorful'
But how colorful are they
When they hide their sorrows
behind metaphors,
And spill out their emotions
through a pen and a paper
Who is a poet
Is he a drummer -
a drummer
who beats during church hour
Or arrests a girl's heart during
honey moon
I have held lies -
lies that caught me unaware
For this mind of mine has fallen
beneath the earth
It's no more synchronizing
Who is a poet
Is he a promiscuous guy -
a guy who rhymes a woman's
heart using rhyme scheme
Or a fighter who goes on a war front
with a paper and a pen
Is he the one that never sleeps
His ink is filled with deep emotions
And clothed in passionate words
Or a young man who sells his love
to a beautiful stranger
I have seen a poet
But do not know who is a poet
For his words are like the rainbow
It is either red, blue, yellow or green
So, let us fly above the Atlantic
Sit at our favorite spot
And sing our favorite song
For a poet is a poet - he's undefined
