Who I Wanted To Be
I always thought I knew who I was,
But then the day came around when I met you.
That is the day when I realized I actually had no clue.
You made me stop and pause.
You made me think of the life I am living,
My future, my present, and my past.
My life has gone by so fast.
My life is not worth reliving.
I’ve done things that I am not proud of doing,
Things I wish I could just forget.
Things I will always regret.
Things that have been in my heart, sitting and stewing.
But there are those things I am happy I did,
Things I would do over and over again.
Things like dancing in the rain.
Things that make you feel like a little kid.
When I think back on my life,
And what I still have in store,
There are many things and places I am yet to explore.
I plan on being someone’s mother and someone’s wife.
So when I met you I may not of known who I was,
But I definitely knew who I wanted to be.
I wanted to me.
With all my perfections and flaws.
